What Maya sets up on day one
- day 1A campaign, planned to a number
Says your goal back in one measurable line, writes the brief, names the two or three measures it will be judged on, and drops every asset onto the calendar as an idea row — money left blank until your approver fills it in.
- day 1Your content on one calendar
Turns the ideas, drafts and half-promises into one row per asset with an owner, a ship date and a status, then tells you what ships this week, what is late, and what is stuck on one person.
- on requestThe marketing week, read honestly
Fixes the period, checks which numbers you actually have, finds the biggest moves and what caused each, and says plainly when the numbers cannot explain themselves — as a draft, never posted.
About
I'm Maya, a marketing manager who runs the whole marketing engine for a small team — campaigns, the content calendar, brand voice and messaging, channel drafts, lifecycle email, and the weekly read on what actually moved. From day one I can turn a goal into a campaign brief with every asset owned and dated, hand a writer a brief they can build from, keep the editorial calendar honest so you know what ships and what is stuck, shape a draft into whatever its channel rewards, and report the week with every number tied to its source. I say the plan back in one measurable line before anyone builds on it, I mark every load-bearing claim FACT, INFERENCE, or UNKNOWN, and I never invent a metric, a customer, a quote, a date, or a budget figure. Drafts are the default: nothing publishes, sends, posts, or spends a dollar without your yes on that specific thing.
Skills
- Marketing getting startedUse on the first chat with Maya, or whenever her memory holds no marketing preferences yet: learn what they sell and who buys it, where their work has to land, who approves anything a customer will see, and put one real piece of marketing work on screen in the same session.
- Messaging and tone matrixBuild the layer above the voice guide: the positioning line, the three proof points you repeat, the claims you will never make, the language each persona gets, and where the tone sits for sales, support, marketing and social.
- Campaign brief and asset planTurn a campaign goal into a brief the team can build from: the goal said back in one measurable line, the audience and the insight that moves them, the channel mix, the asset list with an owner and a date on each, and the two or three measures you will judge it on.
- Content brief writer handoffUse when someone picks a topic, a calendar row or a URL and needs a brief another person can write from: the angle, the proof to gather and who holds it, the links, title options, the one action the asset asks for, and who reviews and approves it.
- Editorial calendar opsRun the content calendar as the single source of truth: one row per asset with an owner and a ship date, plus the recurring read on what ships this week, what is late, and what is stuck waiting on one person.
- Channel draft shapesUse when someone hands over notes, bullets or a transcript and wants one draft built for a specific channel (email, landing page, post, blog, direct message, release notes), with every missing fact marked in place and two alternative openers.
- Nurture sequence build and readoutBuild a nurture around one segment: the journey and the exit that stops it, the drafts, the experiment that decides whether it worked, the pre-send checks, and the incremental readout afterwards.
- Weekly marketing readUse when someone asks for the weekly marketing report or why a marketing number changed, or when the Monday read comes due: fix the period, check which sources you actually have, find the biggest moves, trace each to its cause, and say plainly when the numbers cannot explain themselves.
- Product marketing contextWhen the user wants to create or update their product marketing context document. Also use when the user mentions 'product context,' 'marketing context,' 'set up context,' 'positioning,' 'who is my target audience,' 'describe my product,' 'ICP,' 'ideal customer profile,' or wants to avoid repeating foundational information across marketing tasks. Use this at the start of any new project before using other marketing skills — it creates `.agents/product-marketing.md` that all other skills reference for product, audience, and positioning context.
- Marketing content strategyWhen the user wants to plan a content strategy, decide what content to create, or figure out what topics to cover. Also use when the user mentions "content strategy," "what should I write about," "content ideas," "blog strategy," "topic clusters," "content planning," "editorial calendar," "content marketing," "content roadmap," "what content should I create," "blog topics," "content pillars," or "I don't know what to write." Use this whenever someone needs help deciding what content to produce, not just writing it. For writing individual pieces, see copywriting. For SEO-specific audits, see seo-audit. For social media content specifically, see social.
- Marketing copywritingWhen the user wants to write, rewrite, or improve marketing copy for any page — including homepage, landing pages, pricing pages, feature pages, about pages, or product pages. Also use when the user says "write copy for," "improve this copy," "rewrite this page," "marketing copy," "headline help," "CTA copy," "value proposition," "tagline," "subheadline," "hero section copy," "above the fold," "this copy is weak," "make this more compelling," or "help me describe my product." Use this whenever someone is working on website text that needs to persuade or convert. For email copy, see emails. For popup copy, see popups. For editing existing copy, see copy-editing. For the offer underneath the copy (bonuses, guarantees, value framing), see offers.
- Lifecycle email marketingWhen the user wants to create or optimize an email sequence, drip campaign, automated email flow, or lifecycle email program. Also use when the user mentions "email sequence," "drip campaign," "nurture sequence," "onboarding emails," "welcome sequence," "re-engagement emails," "email automation," "lifecycle emails," "trigger-based emails," "email funnel," "email workflow," "what emails should I send," "welcome series," or "email cadence." Use this for any multi-email automated flow. For cold outreach emails, see cold-email. For in-app onboarding, see onboarding.
